Hey all, I am about to have my new engine built and have decided to go with a serpentine belt setup, i will be putting thermo fans in before installing the engine. i have a ea, and i have already sorted out about a XH belt tensioner as i am using the log manifold. what and how many pulleys will i be needing, with the alternator do i need a ef alternator mount? or can the ea/eb one be used? by any chance can you get a shorter serpentine belt because i don't want to install the aircon compressor. also with the power steering pump, i obviously need a ef/el one and does it need a ef/el mount or can ea/eb be used.

if theres anything ive missed please let me know,

cheers,
Brandon

Hi.

You need all of the EF/EL bolt ons including:

Harmonic Balancer
Alternator and bracket (you may need to cut and shut your alt plug to suit the EF/EL Alt)
Pwr Steer pump and bracket (remove large fitting from back of pump and use your high pressure hose)
Support bar that goes from front of pwr steer bracket to top of alt bracket
Belt Tensioner and pullies (XH in your case)
A/C Pump (must have unless you can locate the rare as rocking horse s**t Idler Pulley)
Water Pump
Radiator (lower rad hose size is different to EA-ED)
Upper thermostat housing and hose (not completely necessary but ideal)

I think that is about it.

Cheers
BenJ

Radiator goes straight in. Alt plug is just cut the wires and solder them to the new plug and heatshink the join. Wires are the same colour I believe. You will need a temp switch kit to activate your thermo fans as your ECU won't have that capacity.
