G'day my car has just hit 200,000k's and im wondering what needs to be changed at this service? Like even before things start to go i want to replace them before they do. The things i think i might get are; new oxy sensor, injectors, leads, plugs and the usual new oil and oil filter.

What else should i look out for or replace?

Cheers

Fuel filter, air filter, check coolant system hoses to make sure none of them are in bad shape, maybe change the serpentine belt too if it looks worn out. Change the coolant as well if you decide to change some of the hoses.

Check transmission fluids and maybe do a service on the diff while you're at it. That's all I can think of at the moment.

thx mate, i just got my hoses replaced a few weeks ago aswell as a transmission service. I'm getting 3.45lsd in a week or 2 so il get that serviced aswell. With the injectors do you no if there are better then standard ones for the car and do they do much? or is it pointless

IMO if you don't have too many performance upgrades that require an upgrade in injectors, then I wouldn't bother. Even if you upgrade the injectors you're going to need a better fuel pump to cope with the flow.

I would stick with standard injectors. I think you can trade the older ones for reconditioned ones but not too sure.

ok thx, is there anything to help make my car not run so rich? Everytime you stomp it at night you can see the black smoke in the persons headlights behind you.

the engines mods i got are:
Pacemaker 4480 extractors
2.5" exhaust with highflow cat
SS Inductions intake with K&N filter and 3" mandrel bent pipe from throttle body to airbox
Timing advanced 6 degreese

I will be getting the head done later on, will it be a better idea to get the injectors done when i get the headwork.

headgasket mate.
if it hasn't gone it is about too.

200,000kms seems to be just about the exact time they go.

as far as richness goes, the 02 sensor should help out a bit.

if you got some extra cash, throw some iridium sparkplugs in.

Ok thx, I thought the hybrid head had the AU gasket that didn't have the problems?

Anyone no how much roughly a oxy sensor is?

Im gonna get my plugs and leads off Jim Mock, apperently they give a 2-3kw increase, so il try them out. When i went to his workshop he said the plugs were from a Dodge viper and he uses them.

Nah it won't, the hybrid motors got AU-ish head and bottom end, not AU headgasket.
Still fibrous E-Series type gasket.

they are autolite 985 plugs, you can get them from MTQ for about $2.50 each.
