firstly, where can i get my head shaven in adelaide and 4 how much?
and secondly how much power culd i gain.

a head shave will give you f**k all power gain unless u have a cam etc...

cost me bout 100 bucks (i think) to get 15 thou...

mate shavin is a waste of time and money unless ur lookin for some serious numbers

I had my head shaved when I replaced the head and I had a crow cam, exhaust and extractors running and noticed nothin

where abouts in adelaide are you?

I havent seen much in the way of power gains as the amount you need to take off to make a good difference is quite a bit. You might just want to fit an AU head gasket which is the same as shaving the head ~40 thou.

Anyway, cost of skimming a head is ~$60

oh - and if your looking for big numbers you dont bother shaving the head, you just put different pistons in to lift the CR.

as before mentioned, unless your aiming for massive figures..dont bother...

however, for economy and efficiency reasons its worth having the head cleaned up and polished, if its built up with heaps of s**t that can rob you of a bit of power...

Why is it that bumping up the compression does very little for 6 cyl falcons?
