it depends on what he wants. you can get the s5 cranked up but that means he will have some super firm shifts ALL the time, which gets a bit anoying, that cost me 300 for the service on the box and a new adjustable solenoid. Or you can pay like 4 hunge for a on/off/adjustable pressure kit, which would be real nice.

Or you can pay $10 and make your own electronic shift kit which does the same thing!

dont forget about the ramifications of the kit, more heat! might want to think about a bigger/better trans cooler, depending on the severity of the kit of course

Yeah this is the theory. I think a bigger concern is the stress the kits place on universal joints and differrentials.

www.shiftkits.com.au for 9PSIEB's kits.

tickfordghia.. so is your auto shifting firm all the time? but your not happy with how firm? maybe the s5 need to be adjusted? on the back of the solenoid ther should be like a little screw that you can adjust your pressure with.

antonyp.. the cooler will not make the kit perform any better, itll just make your box stay cooler and so it wont f**k itself easily.

yep on top of the main valve body. the solenoid controls the pressure of the change so yes ,it changes quicker.
