yes you can switch it on and off.

even if you cant solder they guys at jaycar will put it together for you, sometimes. its only a coupl of solder joins 3mtrs of wire and two resistors.

makes it more fun. made my adjustable for $20 and took 2 tenths of my quarter. its good fun to play with, but i wouldn't want it on all the time. i was talking of doing like a group buy of them a little while back. was going to make them if i could find enough ppl

I had installed mine as 4 way adjustable - but before I mounted it I tested it for a week. I decided that 2.2 ohm was perfect for me and I removed the switch and now have it permently on. No problems for me in the wet or dry. All up $2 for the resistors.

Is there a tech doc on this?

I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron but would like to know what to do.

Guys?

there identical! shiftkit.com.au is run by that 9psiEB guy or what ever his name is, used to have that mechanical forum which supplied the wiring diagram or he'd make em and sell em to you/.

I've just removed my home made one, and bought one from Jay RPD, it's fully adjustable and very neatly done, need to get around to fitting it.

can't wait to build one of these! I'm thinking of connecting it up to the power button on the auto.. so it turns on the shift kit and moves up the revs!
anyone else do this?
