there sure are.
theres heaps of topics related to shift kits, a simple search will bring up stacks for ya. as long as you dont go nuts on shift firmness your diff should be fine, and less wear on auto coz its shifting faster therefore less friction. imho the fully adjustable ones are the go so you can fine tune the shift.

what a mad idea, bet no ones thought of that before. He asked about shift kits mate not a bloody conversion. besides... shift kit ~ 100-160 bucks installed (cheaper if you DIY it via the fordmods genuine shift kit guide) manual conversion ~ 800-1500 bucks. theres more too it than a couple of killerwasps.

there pretty good, down changes are really quick and going through the gears you can chirp through them. Id recommend them.

shift kits are overated they dont last i work at a trans place and we have had three with shift kits split the drums inside the trans. BTR's werent made for performance they are for old man drivers.

How much longevity could you expect from a mild shift kit (assuming that the aim is livelier performance, not a burnout weapon!)? I'm interested in getting one for my EF 6.

if the trans is looked after and has been looked after and u only want firmer not harsh shift years but as u said take it easy. Just make sure u service it regulary they will be able to tell u if ur trans is startin to wear badly. If u want more go and faster shift get a manual i did.

seeing as you work at a trans place! the s5 solenoid in the au/ba's is adjustable to give a firmer/quiker shift? what can you tell us about this mod as i wanna do it, i heard its safer than these shiftkits.com ones! onll that you dont get to turn it on/off from a switch.

Frankster and Joey listen up big, i will only type this once.
Do a filter change on your auto and while you are there screw the S5 in about 3/4 of a turn maybe a full turn if your box flairs heaps . OK that's it.

Yea iv had my shiftkit in for about 40,000k and iv had the trans serviced twice and they said the transmission is holding up fine and the oil is still nice and red.
