ok so im thinkin of gettin a shift kit for the au 2, wat kind ,who has wat in theres, ajustatble or not, how well they work. wat ur comments on them ,wats a good price :?:

u need a 5-speed with a heavy clutch it will give you all the control minus the traction... plus lots of fun.....reliable and solid....they work well

yeh had EF 5 speed got sic of heavy cable clutch, guna wait till can aford a ba/f manaul, so i wanted to no abt shift kits as i have an auto. an dont have the $1000 or more to convert.

a thousand dollas ...??? how so .. i picked up a eb 5speed for 250 .... and the conversion cost nothing..
abit of fluid and nothing else... but i did however spend 13.50 on a new 18 mm ringie that i spent 8 hrs looking for....

because a e series 5 speed conversion is usless in an au and wont fit due to difference in box lengths and gear shift position..

You can either have an adjustable S5 solenoid fitted - set to make shifting quicker/firmer to taste - but it's not externally adjustable once it's in - or you can get an electronic kit - and those are available with adjustable function.

S5 solenoid you're looking at something in the order of $500 fitted.

For the electronic kit google for Shiftkits Australia - they have all the descriptions you need as well as prices.

did you even use the search function? theirs a full thread on adjustable shift kits. i had one in me EB before it was manual. worked well. killed the auto
