Hey there I cant seem to find a straight answer on this, whats size are the shims on an EB II XR6??? Repair book says the standard size are 1.9mm so I assume thats right, but the main problem is when I rang Ford to get a set they said the only ones they have available are 1.6mm and 2.4 mm (thickness), WADE said to fit an extra standard set of standard Shims, so which size should I get? I'm guessing 1.6mm, but just wanting your thoughts? or should i try somewhere else?

EB2 Lifters are the older 14mm ones, which are available in a few sizes as you found out.

ED-ish onwards are the 11mm lifters, and you can only get 1.9mm shims.

I'm pretty sure Wade only grind off 1.9 or 2mm from the base circle of any of their cams (Or one standard shim) so if you get a set of 1.9mm ones, you'll be set.

Best way to be 100% sure is to put the cam in and measure the lobe to roller clearance so you know EXACTLY what you need.
