I will soon be the owner of a wade 1636 regrind, the only thing missing now is the shims...

can anyone tell me, what type i need - where to buy from - and how much i will be taking from my beer fund to get them ?

I'm in south-east melb, and the car is an EL I6

Cheers!

well it needs to be 1.9mm thick, and the diameter im not sure of, but you need the same diamter & thickness shims that your rocker arms already contain from the factory

im not sure if EF/EL are interchangable, possibly could be?

Will cost you $60 from Ford for 12 shims, or a couple dollars from the wreckers, thats if they dont make you buy the whole rocker gear

take a basic socket set to a pick-a-part find a car the same model as yours, and youll get a few for a few $$

from mem rocker cover is 13mm, and the rocker assembly is 10mm, might need some rags to stop them floating down the engine.

actualy if you havnt done a cam change before this would be a great warmup :P
