slightly higher compression ratio can be beneficial.. try using premium fuel with that combo though..

How did the porting go? Don't forget to remove the sharp edge around the combustion chamber, helps stop it pinging.

I use a BMW spark lead tool. Its like a pair of pliers with a hole that has teeth, anyway, they are very tough to remove. Use a socket, about 12mm, in 3/8" drive (12 point) to fit new ones.
How much was the cam?

You'll have to put a chemical flush through the system when you get it back together, lookin at the corossion in it. I use Loctite brand, 15 min stuff.

I have me tickford head that im swapping over for my stock one, im going to get it decked just so its got a nice clean surface to go down on. That and an AU gasket should go a treat.

The AU headgasket is made of metal shims,(like diesel h'gasket), unlike previous gaskets, that were composition gaskets.
