im soon going to get a 2.5" exhaust all the way through and after that im keen on the idea of a cam but i dont know which way to go about it. i wouldnt be driving at high speeds but id like to get something that will give me more torque to get me up to 100, 120 a bit quicker. how much would something like this cost and who should i ask about this type of work? thanks

im going to err on the side of caution and say spend some time improving the handling or something before you start working the motor.

17 is still fairly young my friend.

you'd be much better off changing diff ratio's to 3.9's
Changing the cam with the stock 3.23 diff will probably make it slower 0-100

Wade 1673 with a 3.45 - 4.11 diff ratio.

your right and i know it just sounds like everyone young guy says but i dont drive like a d***head. out here its just all highway and it would be nice to get to 100 a bit quicker, give me a bit more of a thrill. i value my license and life too much to piss it off by driving like a race driver doing 160 or something.

so getting an lsd would be a higher priority before looking for cams?

Definatly mate, 4.11LSD is the best mod I ever did.

BTW, I might have missed it, but is your Falcon a Auto or Manual?

how would i go about it? just go to a jap wrecker and ask for a 4.11 lsd and get somebody to swap the diffs around or would you need to change the gears themselves or something?
