while in nuteral, at 2500rpm the engine seems to fluckt up and down very slightly(inc of movements) is this running to lean?

sounds a bit that way. just changed my filter and it helped.

check the plugs to see if they're white or anything. then swap yours out and run a third of a tank of BP Ultimate and a bottle of good quality injector cleaner

you could also try giving your idle speed controller a clean.
theres a tech doco on it.

Wouldnt be the idle control as the throttle body is opened. Could be sticky injectors, fuel filter as already stated, vacuum leak, plugs or even leads.
