Normal everyday driving, the std rotors are fine. If towing or give it a bit, slotteds are fine.

I have driven both, everyday driving they are pretty much all the same. But if you are hard braker like me, I'd say get slotted.

slotteds for sure, and for $99 a corner, they're not priced too much more.

I just advise to steer from bendix ultimates.

Its the combo I have atm, works very well, but loots like they're chewing through the rotors fast.

Since I installed them, all my vibrations went, and braking in the wet was improved Majorly.

You don't really need cross drilled unless you go pretty hard in the public road. He is asking for daily driving. I have also heard cross drilled rotors can crack between holes...though that's what I heard and don't know if it's true.

Thanks for the replys guys when you change brake pads is it the norm to get the discs machined? or do you only machine the disc if the brake pad indicator has touched the disc thanks in advance

i say get slotted fronts and a good set of pads (EBC greenstuffs) and then just get new pads for the rear

yea they do crack if you give your brakes a hard time..
i had a set of drilled /slotted and using bendix ulimate pads and the disks needed machining after the first pad change and by the time i changed the second set of pads there was cracks starting between the drill holes and they could not be machined again due to exesive disk wear..

on the up side the car stopped great and the brakes never stayed hot enough to cause brake fade...

Just threw a set of DBA slotted rotors and Bendix Ultra premium pads on last weekend. Quite happy with the difference, just be prepared for the extra wear slots have on pad wear (an extra 10% reduction in pad wear I'm led to believe)

ive had a set of slotted b4, and they were good, just make sure you get somebody that knows what there doing coz some shops are crap. i own a set of drilled and slotted now and prefer them, i have had them for about a year and do alot of hard driving, and havent had any problems(no cracks). but for the daily driver go for the slotted, and save some money. and yeh EBC green stuff are the way to go, very messy but atleast you now there working.

Hi, I run slotted & green pads on all corners. They are brilliant, I do a fair bit of towing, without trailer brakes, & I have always been happy with the slotted discs. I travel between Melbourne & Gympie at highway speeds towing about 900kilos of trailer and the slotted really can handle the extra load. They are far better than stock. Just around town they are a little overkill, unless you give the brakes a real workout on a regular basis.
