Not a problem or a question here guys, just thought I'd share with everyone what I came across on the weekend.
I finally got around to replacing my stock air filter with a K&N and was quite surprised with what I found when I opened up my airbox... 7 dead crickets, a ton of moths and other flying creatures and every inch of box covered with small leaves and other crap. I clean and vaccumed it all up then decided to take a look inside the part of the snorkel that connected to the box. And sure enough, more crap stuck to the sides and covering up a good part of the opening. Cleaned it all and replaced the filter and now she goes like she should All I was expecting was a dirty air filter... |

I clean the air filter and air box on my EL Fairmont once every couple of weeks using compressed air. Back when we had the massive locust plague here in Mildura I would have to clean the air filter once a day and also pick out the locusts from the radiator.

mums had the same thing dad fixed that by adding a piece of sheet metal to the top of the snorkel ran it down to just behind the grille so it was like another snorkel and put some grille mesh over the pickup stopped alot of the moths and bigger bugs for a while till we went to cold air and pod
