ebay has a heapof EL GT snorkles for $55 posted and they have the AU tickford snorkles but the auction for the tickford ones is up to $100.

Is there a size difference between the two?

there cheaper from Ford Spare Parts, and you don;'t pay postage. Though maybe there no longer avalible. I've got an AU Tickford one here you can buy off me! :-)

There pretty much the same, EL GT one doesn't have the Tickford logo on it.

there wouldnt be too much difference in size. the AU ones have been superseeded by the BA ones now so they dont have the BA logo on them anymore. thats probably why they are more expensive, you cant buy them new anymore.

Larger than stock, but from what I've seen not larger than the AU Tickfordone.

Happy, what makes you say the EL GT ones fits better? Just that you don't have to drill new screw holes?

Went to ford the other week and they done have the AU ones (with tickford logo). They had one with the same number but it was a BA part. I tried that out for size and it doesnt fit.

yeah mate i have an AU XR8 snorkel with the tickford wings and they have tripled in price in the last few months. The highest one i have seen go on ebay was $125. So in i could see them going for $150 by next year.

The BA XR6 turbo snorkel should fit ef/el you just need to follow the tech doc same as auIII tickford snorkel.

here is a couple of pics

i have used both and the AU xr8 snorkel has a larger opening , looks better and sucks in alot more air. (ie.airbox get full of bugs and dirt more than with the el gt).

EL GT one fits better on the EF/ELs. The AUIII XR8 ones have contact with the thermo fan shroud.
I have an EL GT one and the AU XR8 one fitted to my cars. The AU one has the Tickford wings for Ford bling.
I prefer the EL GT one.
