Hey guys, just went to go for a drive in the au and found that when the air vent/con is turned on it sounds like something is in the fan as it makes a constant tick tick noise. It dosen't matter where you have the air comming out such as your feet or window it keeps making the noise.
Anyone have a good idea where i should start looking first?
Any help would be great.
Cheers

Heres a pic of what you might see when you remove the dash, then the fresh/recirc vent, then you see the fan.
There are 3 x 10mm nuts to undo to take off the vent assembly.

Kermey...I'm not sure about AUs, but if it is similar to the E-series, then put your vents to recirculate the air with the fan off (if at all possible) and then put your hand up there and see if you can get at the leave by hand.

I managed to get several leaves out that way...but by pushing the flappy door thingy by hand. By flappy door, I mean the vent doors that opens and closes for recirc or non-recirc ventilation.

phong =P~

switching from fresh to recyc a few times can help flush it out but yeah noramlyy it will get eaten up by itself. Putting a bit of fly wire over the air intake is also a good idea if you want to stop it in future!

I had the same noise in an old XE I used to own. The noise started to drive me crazy, it just wouldnt go away. I eventually removed the dash and heater box and found a plastic stick, like from a chuppa chump! F**k thing was as good as new, and there was a groove worn in the fan blades! :?
