Yeah exactly. I have heard more bad reports than good ones about the Top Gun leads unfortunately.

My Top guns have done over 60,000k on gas without missing a beat.
The only issue that I have heard about them is pulling the ends off them, sorry to say but I have seen that happen with just about every brand of lead on the market....

The topguns that were on my EF motor weren't too old, but i changed them last night with some bosch ones, and the improvment in very satisfying. much rather the bosch leads

I've had stock, bosch and current top gun leads....to be honest I can't bloody tell the difference LOL.

TopGun haven't given me any headaches and neither have the Bosch ones. So I would say any will do really...just depends on who has a better quality control procedure for either company. Bad batches give bad names.

phong =P~

The quality of the bosch leads arent that flash.

I remember buying a set from Super Crap, and finding only 3 leads would clip onto the plugs and the rest had the metal part moulded too far into the insulator.

I took that set back and bought another one and the same problem. So now i have a set of new bosch leads that have been chopped and modded just to have them fit.

The 9mm Eagle leads i took off were very good and were low resistance leads.... like 1ohm per lead, whereas most other brands are 7 - 10ohm.

That could have been the batch problem thing that phongus just mentioned. But each to there own preference i guess.

I have pretty much always used bosch leads, and i've never experinced a problem, and the ones i fitted last night are of excellent quality. Thats not to say that are the best though, because i'm sure they're not, they just seem ok to me. :)

Yeah the bad batch sounds the case. I checked out the rest of the packs there and they were all the same, hence the reason why i gave up and modded them to fit anyway.

Should ring bosch for a whinge me thinks...

Been running Top Gun 8mm Leads for about 3yrs now and never had a problem. Have replaced spark plugs twice in this time and all the boots are still good and don't move.
