Hi guys

Was just looking around my engine bay and spark plug leads when I noticed that on the closest lead to the firewall, that on the end of the spark plug lead that there is some tape wrapped around it with a bit of wire coming from it going directly into the firewall. Just wondering what this could be, as I'm changing them over on wednesday.

Cheers
Daniel

Remote start modules use them to tell when the engine is running

So if I was to change over the leads, what do I do with this wire?

Is your car on gas? Some gas systems use that as a sensor to know when the car is running.

If you replace your leads, you will need to put it back on.
