I own a Futura AUII 4.0L and I'd like to put some good plugs in.
Someone told me that XR6T plugs work quite well, but I'm concerned that there may be a slight difference in spark plug reach between the standard plugs for a N/A 4.0L and the XR6T, leading to firing problems i.e. knocking. Does anyone know if this is a problem? Or can anyone maybe recomend some good plugs? Thanks guys.

I'd always just used the xr6 plugs in my EB. They are a higher heat (I think) heat range.

there is no power in plugs. not enough to matter anyway. just get the cheapie's (ngk) and replace them every 20 - 30 000km. iridiums are just long life and are used in au's and ba's from factory to increase service intervals and in the ba's they are a bit harder to get to so you can change them less often.

How much more advantage would AUII XR6 plugs give me
over the standard Motorcraft plugs? Is it worth the extra money? And are they the same heat range and reach? Sorry for all the questions I'm getting a little bit anal over the whole thing aren't I....

they will be the same reach, different heat range.
