Hey all,
Was just wondering what the best type of spark plugs would be for a 4.0L AU falcon? There is so many different types!!! What do you's run?

NGK ZGR6B-11 bloody good plugs.

squeak.... find your closests super cheap auto and ask them
they have a book of cars and what plugs leads caps .ect go with which..... there are a few different type you can get... NGK, bosch ... then levels within like normal, platinum.... umm but yeh... just goto super cheap and they will sort you out

any one had platinum? they are really expensive....
any good?

They are supposed to last about 100k, mine went at 80k. No power diff, actually felt the difference going back to new, "normal" bosch plugs. There are several types for the AU, VCT, non-VCT, HP etc, is a bit confusing.

go 4 the NGK ZGR6B-11 's i doubt u will get a better plug 4 the price
repco as good a place as any to get - i got a bargin the other day i reckon - 5l penrite HPR15 /Z9 filter /6 ngk plugs = $44

Yeah, the NGK's are good fro the price, I think there about $3 each
THe platnums are designed for longer K's, good for magnas and camrys, due to a pain in the a** plug access. There spark isnt that great tho. If you want to spend that kinda money on platnums, go for the boch 4 post plugs. Awsome to say the least. I use them coz i use a multi spark and a stronger coil. Last longer and dont heat up like normal puugs. Less heat= less resistance.

Yeah i think you will find that NGK plugs are the go, i have them in the XR6 atm and they work really well. Had bosch plugs in the XF and they were pretty good as well.
Good price on both brands as they are not expensive either!

the ngk are awesome plugs but there is a difference for the xr6 etc as the AXR6 hp ( my car ) plugs are actually longer in lenght ( same as me ) than the standard plugs

Problem is I found that those NGK's (ZGRB6-11's) everyone is talking about only lasted me 6 months. So I got the Bosch equivalents in now and they are going great
Yeah like Frank said dont go to SuperCrap/s**t auto as they are honestly very f**k pathetic for any sort of Automotive advice. They just seem to nod at you an pretend they understand you when they dont. a lot of the staff their remind me of that "pimple faced" geek guy on the Simpsons.

ehe, dont come to my work then....... any ways back on track, be f**k if you listen to the people..... but next to the sparkies theirs an NGK, and a bosch book have the reccomended spark plug for your car, and if your too lazy for that, speak to one of the staff and they can search it on the computer

I was actually talking about the experiences I have had with the very poor customer service treatment I always seemed to get at a few of the Western Sydney stores in particular. They always seemed to be low on stock or to be Understaffed and too busy to help and those catalogue books you refer to some were often out of date. Then I finally got hold of a Staff member after a considerable wait and I then got him to look up a set of sparkplugs on the computer. He ended up giving me the wrong ones. Then another wasted trip back to get a refund.
