auto 180
manual no limit, but will run out of steam around about the top of the gauge.

serious?? how come there got no limit?? ive had mine around 240-250 but as u said it ran outa steam

mines fairly stock but it did only have 150000 when i did it and i had it near the limiter

i thought that xr6 auto cut out at the same as a cop spec 1 at 210?

tickford ghia ecu at 180

and manual no limit?

these speed limit threads (there have been many) never seem to get a straight answer. Some claim no speed limiter, others with the same car might claim a 180/210/2220 limit.

Manuals are not limited as much as autos as the auto apparently has a weak output shaft which contributes to driveshaft vibrations. Apparently all fairlanes, wagons and utes were limited to 180 regardless as to model. Early e-series often have no limiters.

Anyway thats kind of what Ive picked up from these threads (now I wait for others to say otherwise). The only thing I can say for sure is that my EF does not have a limiter.

Auto tickford is limited at 180.. only the cops got the 210, and manuals didn't get a limiter.

auto elxr6 myns been to 230 on the dyno and no limiters kicked in
