Ay since fitting a 5spd in2 my mildly worked EA Ive noticed if i stomp it of the line in 1st it'll spin like all s**t but only leave a thin(20mm) white line on the road? What da?

And leaves dirty big blackies in 2nd! Is it spinning tofast in 1st?

Oh tires are 95% 225 15 inch bridgey's!

And a reco LSD 3.45 ratio, I aint complaining just wonderin watsup, any1 seen/done this? No what im talkin bout?

CHEERS

Think about that for a minute. Do the wheels turn quicker in 1st or 2nd?

In all honesty, most likely the tyres/surface you are trying to put lines down on. Which of course, is on private property or at a sanctioned event....

or your engine is too weak :p.

2nd always delivers awesome burnouts, 1st tends to break traction and skip on the surface, as it spins too quick.

A burnout is all about breaking traction. Oh and your wheels spin faster in 2nd than 1st :P

yes, i get 7o km/hour sitting on the spot in 1st with my t5 and 3.45... slot second and my car is sitting on 120km/h sitting on the spot... ofcourse on the burnout pad at eastern creek.for proof check my gallery... so the faster the tyres spin the harder they smoke and the more rubber they leave...

fordfreak, i don't believe you if you say you can hit 70 in first gear with a 3.45:1 diff, unless your rev limiter is up higher than normal.
i'm running a factory t5 with a 3.45:1 diff, and i'd be lucky to hit 55km/h in 1st.
my car won't pop second gear in the spot cause the clutch isn't the best, and 255's don't help.
in the wet it's a different story

*sneeze* there goes that s**t allergy again. redline in 2nd gear in a t5 with 5 speed is like 101km/h.

Hahahaha, yeah that's what I meant. It's spinning too slow and skipping so it doesn't build up enough friction!

i invite you out to the burnout comp at the creek if u want to spectate me in the burnout comp to prove... and to soulfire... i think it was just above 110km/h to be more exact but i asume top speed would be different between actualy doing 2nd and on the rev limiter and sitting on the spot limiter... 215/65/15s..

this is exactly what i meant.
my ef with t5, and the 3.23:1 diff would hit about 104 km/h, my old ef also had that combination and popped the limiter at the same speed in 2nd.
your speedo WILL be thrown out if you've put a 3.45:1 diff in it.
i took my car for a drive with the GPS and when i'm showing 110, it's actually doing 102/103km/h.
so i think this is the problem you're having.
and yes if i was in nsw i wouldn't decline going for a ride in your car, it seems rather quick, but trust me, with that combination and the stock rev limiter, there is no way it's hitting 70 in first, or even 114 in second.
