Hey guys, just got home from work today and found that i split a hose in the falcoon's engine bay. Its right under the intake manifold, anyone know what this hose is called and more importantly how much it costs to replace and how hard it is to replace?

Looks like its coming off the thermostat.

Assumptions are the mother of all f**k but I am gunna assume you are talkin about the EB. The only HOSE that runs behind the engine is for your brake booster. Is the engine running rough or your brakes ordinary? Is there a hissing noise coming from the hose.
There is a pipe in there but if that is split coolant will be going everywhere.

BTW I like it when I drink......I get all helpful....I think I need noisy to yell at me or something

If the hose connects to under the throttle body then it is part of the PCV system. It is the rocker breather. If it is split it will affect idle and make the car run lean. Easy to replace. It connects under the throttle body to the back of the rocket cover.

cheers
Scott

The hose connects to a steel hose on the thermostat, it runs under the intake and from there i lose sight of it, it spat cooant everywhere down the left side of the engine bay, it made a hissing sound as it was spitting the coolant, quite loud too. I could see the coolant coming from the hose as it was leaking also.

If need be ill take photos if you like.

No need for pics. It's the coolant line to the back of the waterpump. Not too bad to replace but it isn't hose it is actually steel tubing. Worth the expense of getting a new one from Ford. If it doesn't come with the o-ring that goes in the back of the water pump get one of those too. Not worth the time of f**k around with the old one. 8-)

The beauty of "it looks ok but I will replace it later" Doing it when you are doing the water pump won't make it any easier...... Try not to do it when the engine is warm: burns hurt.....I gotta stop drinkin'.... I'm being way too helpful.....

you sure its the steel hose? can you actually see the leak or you just assuming, its more likeley it would be a rubber heater hose, which is right next to the pipe.
