wat is best ratio ?? Depends what your after. I mean a 3.9:1 will give you far better acceleration! But, a 3.08:1 will give you greater top speed, more economic on highway travel and lower reving. You've just got to find a balance... |

wat is best ratio ?? nah go the 3.08 - i'll swap ya! but yes - diff gearing ratios for whatever your desired driving style is - although the 3.45's are pretty good from what i've heard - no excessive fuel consumption over the 3.08's from those i've spoken to...

I just put a 3.45 LSD in mine (replacing the 3.23 single spinner)and it's made a huge difference in traction. Spin resistant indeed. All this time after chasing grippier fatter tyres and getting no where the limo has cured my ills
Well, almost, but I don't expect miracle take offs out of a manual with 170rwkw Trying to take off quick used to see me sitting on the line spinning with the old diff or you'd hit 3500rpm while sticking the boot in and it'd start spinning. Now with the LSD I still get a bit of wheelspin, but it's launching sideways up the street towards redline while doing so I didn't get much benefit out of the ratio change as I already had a 3.23 but I highly recommend them to anyway even just for the traction. You can pick one up for the price of a "decent" set of rear tyres

Mark (IT'S Performance) usually does them for $750 installed I believe. Mine was a little cheaper as a "package deal" with my engine. I didn't get any steak knives though...
