Wake up in the morning to go to work.
Start the car, all is fine until I start driving. There is an odd squeaking noise coming from somewhere. Not sure if it's coming from the wheels. I've checked the rotors and brake pads and they are in good condition. Where do you reckon the squeaking noise is coming from? |

Mine does it to. But only till I get down the road. I put it down to the handbreak being sticky or the likes

Yea if im driving first thing and pull on the handbreak and let it off again it stops.
But it still happens everymorning. It is worse if I stop on a hill overnight. That's why I think its the handbreak |

Rear brakes can give a squeak or scrap noise! (but should be able to tell if its front or back end eh!) If its in the front end though, try getting underneath & spraying the sway bar bushes that bolt onto chassis rails than rock each side up & down & see if it does it?

Can nearly guarentee it is your handbrake shoes sticking. AU's and BA's are a awful design. Mine does the same.

If it turns out to be the handbrake shoes , contact a Ford spares dept & ask if the
"Revised Handbrake Retainig Clip" that they is claim will fix the same problem in the BA's will also fit & fix the AU! Otherwise just crank the stereo up!
