Regardless what ford writes, I would rather hear it first hand from the owners rather then the manufactures

At the wrecker we had many holden and ford motors changed over because an oil hole would block up and cause the motor to not get lubricated propery. This was due to Castrol Magnatec, GTX and GTX II. The other castrol oils wernt as bad but still did it. I researched it and found that Castrol dont use 'solvents' in their oils. This means that they start to stick to the motor parts when the oil gets s**t.

As for me i use Fully synthetic oils like Shell Helix Ultra 5w50 s**t. Its what most of the cabbies use and i know the car has been on it since 150'000km and its now done 290. It reallystop the wear of the engine.
