my ef does not start until it cranks after 3 secs, when it does start it runs very rough, i rev it and it then clears up. the water level in the coolant bottle remains at the same level ate all times. i have installed new spark plugs and leads.. still the same. i have changed the ecu , still the same.. help me

welcome to the site mate.

It could be a fuel supply issue, a sensor issue (like a map sensor or coolant / air temp) or maybe the coil packs could be on the way out.

give those a bit of a go

My ef does this too...
only after work though. if i start the car in the morning she fires up first go but when i go to start it again after after work (9 hours later) she wont fire..

yes i find that early in the morning it starts up straight away. But after driving it , it does not start straight away and when it does black smoke is emmitted
