i would check with a test light on one or all of the injector plugs to see if they are pulsing when the engine is cranking. the injectors should have 12v with ignition on and the earth is the trigger..
if they are pulsing i would be looking for a fuel blockage in the fuel filter or the injectors themselves.. |

Yeah im thinking blocked injectors as before I found the dizzy issue I completely scrubbed the tank, flushed the lines, replaced the fuel filter and the pump worked 100%. All thats left are the injectors. Also whats the little gadget that bolts on the end of the fuel rail??

Changed the fuel reg in the tank and away she goes! Sounds good but timing is still an issue and the timing chain tensioner is still being a b**ch. Going to have a final check over it tomorrow and then I will start on cosmetics.
Thanks for the input.

Ignition Timing (Base)
Base Timing is activated for 2 Minutes after conclusion of the Fault Code Extraction Procedure. (This takes 2.4 Minutes Approx. to complete) 1. Ensure engine is at operating temperature. 2. Connect Timing Light. 3. Carry out Fault Code Extraction. 4. Check Ignition Timing - Should be 0°± 2° BTDC (Pointer lined up with the Notch on Pulley). 5. Adjust by rotation of the Distributor (Within 2 minutes). Ignition Coil The Ignition Coil is located to the rear of the Distributor. To Test Resistance @ 25°C Primary Secondary 0.41 to 0.45 Ohms 7.12 to 7.87 k Ohms Ignition Control (Thick Film Ignition - TFI) Module The Ignition Control Module is located on the side of the Distributor. (See also Ignition System) Ignition System These vehicles use the Ford Distributor Ignition System. The Hall Effect Sensor in the Distributor generates a PIP (Profile Ignition Pickup) signal. This is fed to both the Thick Film Ignition (TFI) Module and the PCM. The PCM uses the PIP signal and other inputs to create the SPOUT (Spark Out) signal. This is fed back to the TFI Module to control ignition timing advance. Here is some info for ya mate, if its any help
