Yeah but what happens when you race him?

Bahahaaa good call. I left myself wide open for that one. I pride my XR on it's takeoff... and he gets a whole carlength on takeoff...

what u guys need to remember is that there are rex's out there that are 12 years old which means quite a few probably have well over 200 000kms which is alot if theyve lived a hard life, and thus wont go like they used to

You have more chance of beating an 02 wrx than a 94 wrx with 200000 k's. You forget the 94 was light, had a huge turbo and was pretty much only bought by people dedicated to the idea of a turbo 4. Worst case scenario would be a 14.5 i'd say.

Ok I'll throw this in for discussion, My mate wants to drag me in his VY Manual ute which came out with high performance diff standard. We have both been on the dyno and he has about 4 KW on me which probably means jack. Will he smoke me with such a weight difference or will i get better traction for the holeshot?

Is yours auto?
If it is you'll get smoked.
If it's manual, you'll get beaten.

f**k no!

If he's is auto, he will probably be beaten.

If it's manual, he will win for sure.

It's only a dirty old VY V6 isn't it?

it's a f**k wagon. it weighs HEAPS.
If we're talking 0-100 I doubt he'll stand a chance manual or auto.

Dude, the wonder wagon is like a whole 50 kegs heavier, I believe....

Wouldn't have THAT big of an effect on performance...

Are you talking supercharged S or nat atmo S?

Cause a 15.4 is supercharged times...

a 15.4 isnt supercharged times in STOCK form.....theyre not boosted enough.

They hit more of a higher 15's.....the ba N/A 6 beats it.

I really shouldn't be pointing this out but Wheels have tested:

BA XR6 Auto N/A - 0-400 in 15.8
VY Supercharged V6 S - 0-400 in 15.4

wheels magazine sometimes may spin alotta crap

dont always believe them...what it writes have proved to show itself quite different down the track in MANY cases

one night at Caulder, 2 BA Xt's stock as your mums car rocked up, 1 hit a best of 15.6 and the other 15.7......a BA XR6 that has stifer suspension can put a couple more horses on the ground and should be capable of mid 15's.
