Yea apparently. But if I flush it a couple times I think it'll be right.
Couldn't possibly clog it to bad.

if you use a sealing product eg (chemiweld) in the cooling system, aslong as you follow the instruction and once the seal is created flush the system thoroughly there shouldnt be any problems..

ive seen engines and cooling systems that have blocked up because idiots just put the stuff in and thats it... but if done as directed there is usually a minimum effect on the cooling system componants...

Cooling system is a pretty cheap fix..

i would get
new thermo 15 bucks around the 70 degree mark
waterpump - 80-90 bucks
new radiator - 200 bucks..

flush it and done..

i would also be getting a compression test done..

The cooling system in my EF XR6 is the biggest and most consistent problem I have. Apart from a leaky oil sump. I'm always finding puddles of coolant under the car in the garage after driving it. Just had a heater tap replaced, as well as the hose to the heater tap and the top radiator hose and it still leaks. Does anyone know the common areas where it might leak? or how to go about fixing them? also, can a flush be performed at home in the garage? and how do you drain out the existing coolant in there?

Go to your local radiator place or mechanic and get them to do a pressure test, they should be able to tell if and where it's leaking from. Easiest way to drain coolant out is to remove bottom hose when cool, then to flush block stick hose in, you may have to remove thermostat for this, and make sure heater tap is open, then stick hose in bottom of radiator to flush it out - obviously without radiator cap on. Once water runs clear you might think about starting it for a few seconds to stir up coolant in side the block and continue flush.
