Ive noticed for a while, but lately its become worse a weird noise from the front left, sounding like the wheel.
The sound is like rubber sqreeching slowely, or rubbing. But I had it before I got it lowered and by feel it feels there is enough room so I dont think its rubbing on the guard. I checked tyre pressure today and its perfect so im stuck for ideas, can anyone help? cheers |

check for scuff marks underneath the wheel arches or odd wear marks on the tires. i had a similar noise i thought it was in the front but it was at the back one of my tires was rubbing against my exhaust so i just got all the rubbers redone on it and now its fine.

have you checked your wheel bearings?

Check the plastic splash panel for marks - these can come loose and rub on the tire.

well dad had a listen today and thinks that it is what Mash85 said.. he thinks it sounds like a wheel bearing seizing up or something... what will happen if I dont fix it straight away?

probably not alot, but its not something you'd like to leave too long.
ive been told, worst case scenario, a wheel could come off really, its a very inexpensive fix (if it is a wheel bearing) and its something you could defiantely do yourself.

Yeah piss easy to change, takes all of half hour to change both sides and cost stuff all. just did mine yesty, piss easy. I got my bearings for nothing though, so it was ultra cheap.

Also inspect the upper control arms, when they come loose they knock and whirr.
Regular inspection of all nuts and bolts should be a self regulation! When was the last time anyone checked their K-frame?

no not really. i doubt they would have started dismantling brakes and things to check bearings if you were just having wheels fitted.
and if you got them fitted at a place like the tyre factory, your lucky they even fitted the wheels correctly!
