could try degreasing all oer and running it and try see any leaks when the engine is clean? Ford must have changed it, as mobilfluid 424 only came in from EL onwards. All previous Falcons ran ATF. Mobils lubricant chart also reflects this.

Easy test to see if it is brake fluid is to rub some on your fingers. Now if it feels like your fingers are drying out, it is brake fluid as brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture.

EF/EL's are on the other side in the front pass guard area - AU's are near the battery

smell it, power steering fluid and tranny fluid are usually red (brown when old) and smelly.
brake fluid often looks clearish or light brown and that. |
