Hey mate just wondering if you overcame this problem yet? Im trying to do the same mod to my car and was having the same problem. I installed some hose from the converter to the airbox and it partially fixed it.
But now when running on petrol if I put the foot down it takes a while to get going. Is this because the ECU needs to relearn the air fuel ratio??

I have done the same thing bought the new snorkle put the hole in the bottom about 5-10cm away from the mouth of the Snorkle and have fitted my balance line there.
MY Xr6 also runs s**t on gas however mine only stuffs up once the engine is warm. I believe mine is more of a fuel blockage issue thou.

When I got my car it had no snorkel. I put a Tickford AU one o9n and I then had to have my LPG retuned to run withg it. Otherwise it kept stalling. L.P.G. is very sensitive.

How much did it cost for you to get the LPG system retuned? Im in the same boat ....sort of but mine was running like s**t b4 i changed the Snrokle ne way, adding the XR8 one only made things worse i think.

Like $50 to $70. They put it on a dyno aswell. The dyno's not calibrated or anything, but they put it on and do a run on petrol, then one on lpg just to check that it's not underpowered by too much. |

i had this revs dropping right down problem too, before i changed my snorkle over, turned out the inline gas filter was blocked, mechs replaced that and problem fixed
mine has a balance line too, but it connects to the airbox, not the snorkle intermittantly now the low revs problem comes back, 2yrs after filter was replaced - according to mechs filter will never need replacing again, somehow i doubt that - the problem is that it's an intermittant fault and you can bet your balls it'll be perfect when/if i put it in to get fixed in the mean time i might get a new gas filter, fit it and see if that makes any difference |
