It took me AGES to get the bottom hose off of the EA radiator while I was pulling it apart...god damn it was annoying. Had to put some WD-40 on there and left it to soak then I jiggled it a lot. I also used some pliers and an awkward screwdriver to get the thing off...have fun =D

this might sound stupid... but a tea towel and a jug of boiling hot water... i used that on my mates X-trail... and it worked a treat... the boiling hot water softens up the rubber just enough to give it some flex... and the tea towel is so you don't urn yourself...
and same goes for putting it back on... |

i know what your talking bout. 2 hours later and 1000 dollars down in the swear jar i punched the f**k off. in retrospect i should have just cut the thing off, geez im getting angry just thinking about it. a member on here also suggested working a coat hanger round the tip of it and pull it

i take it off the water pump end then off the radiator end when the radiator is out
you can get the radiator out with it still on

there a bastard of a thing to get off trick is to try and break the seal that has formed around the radiator neck where the hose goes on.
just got to keep twisting it from side to side and eventually it will come loose. just need a bit of patience

yeah i didn't think of any of those ideas before! i ended up buying a new one...though 10 bucks? i wanna live where you live! bottom hose was $30 from repco!...top one was $18. then i needed coolant...
what started out as a $180 new radiator install ended up being like nearly $300...sigh...thanks anyway everyone!
