trying to take the sump out of 94 xg but no joy whats the process to get it out.

What's stopping you?
Are all the bolts removed? Might need a small blade or a small blade screwdriver to break the seal if someone has used gasket sealant or silicone on it. Otherwise it should just tap off. Unless you are trying to remove it with the engine in the car? Cheers ToranaGuy

got it off no problems, but yer trying to take it out with engine in car, why a no go.

Have you lifted the engine up off the mounts? You will need to create some space to drop the sump down, clear of the oil pump & oil pickup. (which sits inside the sump)
