I have always been a fan of the supercheap pod filters Whatever riceburner brand it was

I wanna try putting a Hornet scoop on my bonnet with a pod directly underneath, straight off the TB. Wonder if it'll perform any better than what I'm running now... or just get me defected

I read something on here about losing torque by running a pod straight off the T/B. Something to do with the reduced intake length. It was covered in some thread though.

yeah there is a bloke on here in VIC that has that on his NF/NL, apparently not as good as first thought. tho the cold air wouldnt hurt.

would having a too small pod filter halm the power/torque output on a stockish motor? i bought one of those repco smallish pods thinking it would be easier to fit in the airbox, but thinking maybe its not flowing enough...

over a dry one it probably does. as to it making any difference to your power, i doubt it.

they are a bad enough filter when oiled properly, i'd hate to see the damage done by not oiling one.

As long as it has a 3" neck it should be alright . I dont think it would make too much of a difference on a stockish motor though, only when you start really working the motor it may restrict it a bit due to the smaller surface area. Couldnt hurt to get a bigger filter in there if you have the money to spend in that area though. I went out and found the biggest pod i could lol and got it for about $50 fits perfectly and seems to work fine for me
