i have fluhsed out my coolant system after changing a head gasket.
i used tectaloy MUKOWT radiator flush. i followed the instructions on the bottle to the letter and then refilled the cooling system with ford RI-33 coolant and water. at first it was fluro green like the hulk now it looks like swamp water. does this mean i have to re flush the system again. and at what stage did i stuff up?

on what sorta car did you do this as you just wasted money on coolant as that product is to be run with just water for like 15 mins then drained and refilled with the specific coolant

how well did you flush the mukowt out??
if all you did was was drain the radiator you only got about %40 of it out. you need to remove one of the heater hoses put you garden hose in the heater hose, take the drain out the rad and cap off. then turn the hose and run it until clean water comes from all the openings. get your self a coolent consentrate and use that because pre mix is useless unless the cooling system is dry |

i did this as that what it said to do in my max ellerys. I however don't think i got all the mukowt out do u know if this will hurt my engine if i run it till friday?

It should be alright. Just leave the heater on when driving as this will keep the temp down. If you see temp gauge starting to got hot, stop the car. I doubt that will happen though.

no you dont. turn the heater on but you can leave the engine off, it should be open with no vacuum suplied to it, so just leave the engine off. doesn't matter wich heater hose you take off |

thanks for the advice i talked with a mechanic today and he said just to re-flush with water till clear and refill coolant.
did this today, i flushed the heater core through the supply line had a bit of s**t in it. then flushed the whole system till clear water. filled with water and ran engine 10 min with heater on no thermostat, and drained system. flushed the whole system till clear water was running through. refilled with coolant and water added thermostat and bleed system, so hopeful its all good now. lesson learned this is an expencive stuff up with the ford coolant at $40-$60 a bottle and i needed two lots, wish i did it right the first time.
