ok ive posted about this a few times.. i just cant seem to resolve it..
Car has been running too ritch since engine swap.. I have replaced.. Plugs, Leads, Dizzy cap, Air Filter, O2 Sensor, Intake gasket, TB Gasket, ISC Gasket, Cracked hose on the BBM F piece.. The lifters are getting noisy but i dont know how to replace them yet. I have taken hoses off the map sensor and submerged them underwater and no air bubbles.. Had to replace welsh plugs on intake side.. so while it was off i checked all vaccum hoses i could find. Running way too ritch, 300ish km's per tank, Raw petrol coming out the exhaust.. The car will not idle steadily under 1000rpm.. under 1000rpm it wants to stall.. so i have had to bump the idle up with the TB screw.. so thats adding to my excess petrol usage. and if it doesnt stall it shakes the car sometime quite badly with an uneven idle.. Im at a loss with what to do.. this car is costing me most of my money.. and this is just to get it running normal.. the amounts of money that i have spent on this car i could have done it up so well.. even almost had a turbo kit on it by now.. its just super frustrating.. If anyone has suggestions on what i can do to fix it i owe you a world of debt.. |

at idle what is the TPS voltage, the MAP voltage and the fuel pressure?
Stop throwing random parts at it and diagnose the problem. Even if that means paying a mechanic to diagnose it. In the long run it would be cheaper then replacing random parts. |

could also be a injector sticking open
but as others have said diagnose the problem the problem first and it will make it easier to work out

My xg was doing pretty much the same thing, wouldn't idle below 800-900 rpm, using heaps of fuel etc.. It would also miss and splutter and nearly stall if I gave it a quick hard rev.
Took me a long time to find but there was a broken earth wire that I think was coming either from the module on the dizzy or one of the sensors on the tb.. I think it was green with yellow stripe? I'll grab a pict of where it is tomorrow

Who did the engine swap?
Do they know what they were doing? |

But thats the risk you run in trying to fix some that you know nothing about. |
