why is gettin stickered for blue parkers pathetic?
its a well known law that blue lights are illegal as their emergency colours, you run them, you run the risk.

Admittedly a good point, and not one I'd argue with.
If you want LED's, pick a colour other than red or blue. Though you'll probably still get picked up for it, in VIC anyway, I thing the Vicroads guideline is something like "A car must not display lights that are a distraction to other drivers" They use different wording, but it's something along those lines.

My advice after getting the odd sticker in my time is fix obvious things like your horn, but don't go overboard. Go over the pits and get your list , then you will have to just fix the things they pick. If you try to fix everything then go over the pit..believe me they will find more things. |

Oh and also, make sure the car is nice and clean..inside, outside, under the bonnet and underneath when you take it over. |

As far as lights go heres the rundown (and this applies in SA and is straight from the defect handbook; if you know my ute you will know why I carry a copy with me ):
Clear only on the front (most reasonable cops will let you have amber as well but technically not legal). Ice blue is legal because the light is actually bright white. Sides: amber only. Any red lights on the side must only be visible from the rear. Rear: red only. (again most reasonable cops will let you have amber as well but technically not legal) Any other colour is deemed illegal so blue, green, purple and whatever else is illegal so if you got 'em you run the gauntlet. BTW I've posted this before but when you get the sticker off try to get a hot lookin' chick to do it. Works a treat. If you gotta do it yaself then be nice and don't make a prick of yaself.

I believe that undercar neons are legal in WA as long as they are not red, blue or amber. It's probably the same for all lights.
As for the car.. Detail it. Do it yourself.. but like.. vacuum.. clean the inside.. each window on the inside and outside.. full wash and dry on outside.. no visible leaks or leftovers of leaks anywhere in the engine bay. |

The cops will always find something to fine or warn you about. Even if your car is perfect. If you got your Ps they will find the very smallest thing and get ya for it, because they hate to be proven wrong.
