On an EF falcon what is the usual temp that the thermos come on at? Reason i ask is that i was running full aircon today in stop start traffice in the city and the temp needle was just on the "r" of normla which seemed a bit high to me. shouldnt the thermo fans kick about that temp. Is there a way that you can test whether they are working or not?

i would look at thermstat, unless the fans wernt working at all

Anywhere inside the normal is an ok temp to run. My car runs on the low side of the N and it (90% of the time) doesn't have a fan at all, but my ute runs at about the R and it has the factory twin thermos. And both have the same thermostat.

allright. so thermo fans only kcik in when AC is on or your temp is approaching critical temp?

Start stop traffic on a 36+ degree day with the AC running I would expect the temp to rise slightly.

My XH ute has a check system. With air con on, switch fan to position 3 and the thermos come on. |
