I know this has been asked before - but never answered (eg http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=57451&highlight=thermo%20fan%20switch

But if i just put a switch between the computer pin outs and earth - Can I switch them on and off as i please?? (effectively earthing the fans)
Also will the computer still operate them if i leave the swtich off???
