I just read a sticky compiled by voxace. it was really good help for information but i dun plan to do any upgrades soon. One thing that did caught my eyes was the info about the thermofan
Since i own an EA i know about that ugly sound it makes as u accelerate. Is it going to be hard and expensive to remove the stock one i have now and put in the Twin one as the sticky pointed out? am i going to gain a little more power out of it? I really hate that ugly noise the fan makes and want to remove it. thanks guys and girls phong

removing it is simple.. just remove the shroud and then the bolts will be visible on the clutch fan.. undo them. your fan is removed..
cost. your time your tools your brain power sourcing thermos from a wrecker that are undamaged can be a bit tricky so make sure you get the fans home and tested before removing anything.

You also need the new style radiator. If you still have your original EA radiator it wont have the captive nuts that the thermofans shroud bolts into.
But yes it is a fairly easy job to do, I did the same to my EA.

All the new radiators support the EF/EL thermos. The old radiator isn't made any more. So if your radiators been changed in the past few years chances are it will have the captive nuts to mount the shroud. Look for them in the top of both tanks.

If you know anyone with an EF or EL have a look at theirs and compare the radiators. As previously stated you need to look at the top of the radiator where the thermos mount on the EF - EL. If yours has the slots for captive nuts your in luck.

Double bugger! I replaced my radiator in January! Unfortunately with another EA one. When I was talking about which model to replace the radiator, I mean if I go to a wrecker do I just ask for a radiator that is the new style and have captive nuts? Also if I wanted to test the thermos to make sure they work before i put them in, is there some simple circuit i could hook them into? Like just connect this pin to the +ve battery terminal and that pin to the -ve terminal?
