What type of thermometer would be the correct one to use on Ford AUII 6 cylinder - Year 2000.
The standard type or the High Flow type? I don't know the differences or advantages between the two except price. Thanks |

The high flow thermostat flows 30% more, which isn't necessarily better. Water still needs time to cool down in the radiator. If you aren't doing track work, towing big loads, or running underdrives - stick with a standard one.
I'm running an 82° high flow thermostat - I have underdrives and push it a bit. Never gets over 82° (checked via obd port), even when towing stuff I shouldn't be . If running cooler thermostats, you should ideally have the cut in points for the fans changed, and not lower than 82° or you'll be stuck in warm up loop and chew the juice

Thanks for explaining the differences between the two thermostats Standard thermostat it is. When I get a 4.2m tinnie, I might think of changing over thermostats then possibly. Cheers |
