K&N RE-0810 pod filter rated at 900 CFM, standard K&N panel filter is rated at 441 CFM. 9inches of bliss, used on F250 Typhoon K&N air intake kits....................................

That wouldn't make a noticeable difference to a paper filter.
Air intake possibly. If it's an e-series, manual conversion. |

how do you mean s**t throttle response?
does it lag up to 20-30km/h? or, while rolling and you put your foot down, it takes a second to react? flick the econ button to power and try that. but its usually that tall first gear.

stretched accelerator cable, clogged cat converter, air filter could be clogged, your torque converter could be rooted, my car lagged like a b**ch till it hit 40kmh then it changed into a different car entirely.
t5 conversion fixed that little one tho |

*build an extra intake into the airbox..
*have a 3 inch mandrel bent intake.. *ive a larger throttlebody.. *T5 coversion definatly helps.. *extractors.. 2.5 inch exhaust.. -helps gas flow out of the engine.. *and a big cam makes for a fast rev when stabbing the accelerator in nuetral.. |

Are you saying it's worse than any other stocker, or is it simply sluggish because it's stock?

He forgot to mention it has 400,000km on it, the engine is exhausted. Im sorry to have to tell you but there is no 80 year olds running 100m sprint in under 10 seconds. old bones.
But why not try an XR diff ratio?? should give you some throttle response..

Oops you have an el ghia, has XR gears. My EL gear has fantastic throttle response, your torque converter must be rooted.

A lil off topic, but with the cat converters. How can you tell if yours is rooted?
Aren't the stock EF/EL ones meant flow well? Might get mine checked out hmm
