will the tickford xr6 extractors give any gain over the standard manifold of my EA or is it pretty much the same?

JMM Race Headers are the ultimate...but I'm biased

Headers are headers, but theres not a huge amount of difference between them, unlike the price difference. Your probably better off getting a S/H set of extractors really. If your interested.... there was a nice burgandy EF fairmont with a set of race series JMM's on that will be auctioned very soon if not allready by the NRMA

Yeah, right. Get yourself a set of secondhand "no name" headers, I'll enjoy thrashing you on a regular basis. There is a HUGE difference between different types of headers. The JMM race series are a proven benifit over all but the Pacy comps which are a similar design. Everything else for the I6 is at varying levels from good to crap.

I will agree JMM race series are in most ways better than the pacies, altho value for money if i kept my I6 i would have gone pacies unless planning on doing a fair bit more to the engine.. Cost difference seems a bit much, i know, dont tell me why you pay more for JMM stuff, but in my situation, id go pacies, their good, much cheaper and very well known with good rep. Do you have the HPC race series casper; they look awesome in the HPC coating

In a lot of cases the best bang for the buck is the pacies ... no argument. In my case though the VCT needs everything it can get and the JMM's are the best you can get...price was not the issue in my case. Mine are not HPC coated though. In the AU the heat buildup is not an issue so there was little value in getting HPC. I'm not worried about looks, I am a power junkie.. looks are for when the car is already running as well as it can be IMHO. Mine is not fast enough to deserve the "fancy kit".

The guy on ebay is a rip off merchant.
They are standard cast iron exhaust manifolds off an AU "tickford" falcon. Don't buy them its a total con. See the "tickford" inlet manifold??? What a wanker. |

Both are Tri-Y, both are extreamly long. Thats about it. They are using a similar concept to the same ends.
