Hi,
Just got myself a Tickford head that I am going to get fitted to my car. It was supplied without the cam. I have been told by a few people that there is no real difference between a EF XR6 cam and a EF cam? Is this true? Also the wrecker I bought it off said I would be best to use the standard cam as the XR6 would give me a flat spot as I am running gas?!?! Can someone please help?? I have looked through the forums although im not sure what to do. Install the Tickford with standard cam or get the xr6 cam? The car is bog standard except for a cold air intake Any help would be appreciated! Cheers Mark |

lift is the same on both cams. there are slight duration and timing changes.
if you are buying a cam for it, you'd be better off talking to a few cam manufacturers about a cam that will suit. and as for taking the advice of a wrecking yard. there is a reason he selling used parts. and it's not because he know alot |
