hey guys to you have to adjust an au xr6 series 1 timing belt or just make sure it has no wear on the chain. how often should the chain be replaced? cheers

I've seen them do over 600,000 kms on the factory chain.....comes back to oil changes/maintainence...... :)

it done 171 000 u reckon it will still be fine it runs fine at the moment. :)

Like CJH said, look after the oil changes and make sure you keep it going well and you should get a long time out of the chain. As to the belt, make sure there are no frayed edges or big cracks in it, if there are, put a new belt on, about $50.00 genuine Ford.
