Well its time for a head clean up on my EF. I took the head out to change to gasket etc. and i noticed the plastic guides that the timing chain runs through one has snapped. Any idea how to get the plastic guide out (not sure what its called) so i can replace it?

Also whilst its out i was considering a CAM change. Any difference if i change the cam to a standard EF XR6 cam? would i have to change anything else eg. ecu to make any difference if i changed the cam?? any feedback appreciated.

cheers

when we do a head gasket on the falcons at work we notice that almost every one has broken. aslong as it has only snapped you should be alright in reusing it as is. other wise you have to pull all your timing cover off to get at it.
