Question.
Does anyone know if a timing chain needs to be replaced after doing x amount of klms? I've had my car a bit over 2 years, don't know much history of it, brought privately, came with a logbook when it was a company car, I've driven over 70,000 klms since. Any info would be welcome Cheers |

Should be fine. Many cars have in excess of 500,000km with nil issues.

Normal roadgoing cars should be fine - EF/EL/AU cabs >800 000kms have had no chain probs.

Just did myne at 250,000 and the only issue was the guide the tensioner pushes on was cracked and I guess probably couldve broken if I hadve left it... Probably wouldve done another quarter million before that was going to happen.
