i replace the TFI modulator and had to take the distributor out and change the thing then when i got it all back in i dont where abouts the position on the rotor button is suppose to sit on start or finish or on one of the letters maybe.

In my experience the rotor button on these can only go on one way. Make sure the plastic piece under it is located properly.

yeah thanks for that all i wanted to know was where the little mark on the rotor button faces when doing the timing. does it point towards the finish or the start mark on the distributor cap or towards a certain letter in start or finish if that sounded right.

When installing the dizzy the rotor button should be on the finish line and once installed it should be on the start line.

ok u confused me here a bit the part where u said when installing it should be on the finish mark and then install it should be on the start mark which i didnt get at all.

Sorry mate i has half asleep when i wrote that. Before installing the dizzy in to the engine line it up to the finish mark. Once the dizzy has been lock in to position it will then line up with the start line. Put all your stuff back on and you should be fine to do the timing

I think it turns backwards as you install it.
